The horse-drawn wagon from Krochmal Farms in Tewksbury, MA took groups of young people around the NEPC grounds, which were festooned with hay bales and Halloween decorations. The wagon was equipped with a special lift to load wheelchairs. Therapeutic Recreation Supervisor Laura Kirk said leisure experiences like the hayride enhance well-being and contribute to a positive state of mind. She applauded H.A.L.O. for being “an amazing support system.”
